Life in the 1930's was good for Levi , he had his friends, his job, his school, and life in New York was great. Much to Levi's surprise Mikasa Ackerman walks into his life and turns it upside down, showing him how his life wasn't as exciting as he had originally thought, at least not without her. WWII strikes and Levi must head off to war, leaving Mikasa behind to wait in New York City. Fast forward to 1941, Pearl Harbour has been attacked and all Japanese people in the USA are sent to internment camps. Levi returns back home to find that Mikasa is nowhere to be found. With the help of Eren Jaeger and a tag along Armin Arlert, Levi heads off to find the girl that changed New York City for him.
