Abandoned at Alton Towers for an extra large milkshake, Dan decides to try out Oblivion for the first time. But when it breaks down, and he meets someone friendly, what will he do when left to his own devices? (more friendship than lovey-dovey stuff)

Dan Howell is a timid boy, who always does as he is told. He was once friends with Phil Lester, the 'bad influence' who soon ditches Dan for the popular group in Year 7. After five years of not talking to each other, they're partnered in a project and Phil's wants to win Dan over just like he has with most of their year. But yet, Dan is determined to find out what Phil is hiding behind his arrogant mask.

Five year old Harry has been blind since birth. He has no confidence and finds the world boring. That is, until he meets Louis – another kid, two years older than him, with difficulties. They’re polar opposites and on paper it should be a disaster in the making, but they soon find it’s not the case.

Five completely different boys, with five different beginnings, coming from five different hometowns are all bearers of wonderful powers. Telekinesis, wings, glass shards, a brain that fits things like puzzles, and hands that can heal. When each boy is kidnapped from their daily lives and thrown into a world of cages and blood tests, each of them must look deep into themselves, and deep into each other, to find a place where they truly belong and a place their hearts can call home. The group of five unlikely heroes must start from the ground up to form a friendship, and maybe something more, and they must defy all odds to win over the world.
