She is one of the few that is left in the world ruled by hungry, savage male vampires and she intends to stay that way. In hiding from the frenzied males, she ends up in the one place that should have been her only safe haven in the world; The Dralan's castle. Disguising herself as a Kischmir (a servant), she pretends she is but a mere commoner whose blood is not the purest kind in the kingdom. But when the Dralan nearly dies from cruel thirst, her blood is all that can save him. To be a Mihr means you can't be bedded by a male, otherwise your blood will be tainted. But as things grow heated between the Dralan and Leyla, will Dohmenic be able to keep his hands off her? After all, we always want what we can't have...

Scarlett Blaise, ein 17 jähriges hübsches Mädchen, wird von ihrer Mutter, von der sie nie viel Liebe erfahren hat und nie richtig Zeit für sie hatte, auf ein Internat in der nähe Londons geschickt, da ihre Mutter wegen einer Versetzung viel Zeit reisend in England verbringen wird und keine Zeit hat sich um Scarlett zu kümmern. Ihre Mutter meint, sie sei nicht alt genug, um fast ganz allein u leben und verursacht dadurch eine 180 Grad Wendung im Leben ihrer Tochter. Im Internat trifft sie zuallererst auf den eingebildeten Idioten Jayden Avery, der sich als der größte Badboy des Internats entpuppt. Durch viel Pech und Planungsfehler kommt es auch noch dazu, dass Scarlett und Jayden sich ein Zimmer teilen müssen. Von Anfang an herrscht eine angespannte Stimmung zwischen ihnen und diese artet schnell in einem Krieg zwischen den beiden Zimmergenossen aus. Wie weit werden sie gehen? Und was passiert, wenn man sich in den Feind verliebt?
