The story begins immediately after Harry, Ron and Hermione leave Dumbledore's (former) office at the end of Rowling's seventh and most fantastic book. There are many loose ends and this story ties many of them up, while also prolonging the time before the writer must say a final goodbye to Harry and Company. All characters created by Rowling are hers, thesis not an attempt to pre-empt any of her work, and is written with great respect to her excellent craft and immense imagination. Also, she gave some hints over the years and some of them bear fruit here.
