My mother was huddled in a ball, leaning against her bed stand, trying to cover her swollen baby bump of a stomach. My father was on the edge of the bed, pointing something at her.That's when it registered in me. It was a gun. It happened so fast, he looked at me and gave me the joker-smile he's always had. What scared me the most, were his eyes. They were almost completely black, with lust of blood. Then, he turned to my mother, who's eyes got wider and looked at me and mouthed, "I love you," before he shot her in the head. It landed right in the middle of her forehead, a long drip of blood falling down her forehead, running to the left side of her nose, down her cheek, then felll down all the way past her neck, and soaked into her purple shirt. The flow was constant. I let out a fatal scream that sounded like something dying extremely slow. My father looked at me again, and I was frozen in my spot, tears rushing down my face like a waterfall, and he gave me that Jackal smile and pointed the tip of his gun to his temple. I stared shocked. He wouldn't. And then he did.
