⁑⁑⁑ EDITING AS OF MARCH 2019 ⁑⁑⁑ [Winner in the 2012 Watty Awards for Undiscovered Gems]: ★ Read at your own risk. There are major grammar issues, plot holes and probably some really annoying stuff in this book. If you want to read a story written when I was 12, then please proceed. Major editing in process. ★ Eighteen year old Victoria Green has been spending her life trying to mend everyone else's broken pieces back together - but what happens when they begin not to fit? A cheating , absent father with a much younger mistress, a distraught mother who cannot possibly take care of her emotionally damaged self and an unfamiliar new city is more than broken, it's a freaking disaster. A spur-of-the moment decision to pack up and move halfway across England to the small, quaint town of Doncaster in seek of a new life does nothing to piece back together the broken Green household. In an attempt to escape the Hell of her reality, Victoria begins to live vicariously through the older instant messaging website AIM. I mean, no one goes on that thing anymore, right? Wrong. When she meets someone under the name Singingforlife24, she begins to develop dangerous and unsolicited feelings for the person behind the strange, yet soothing username. Conversations that lasted a few short messages turns into an everyday occurrence and before she knows it, Victoria is falling hard for the stranger behind the username. Meeting the town's a**hole wasn't in her plans - nothing was. But as they always say - there's a thin line between love and hatred (of a jerk, that is). He Wasn't a Jerk Series (MUST be read in order): #1: He Wasn't a Jerk Online #2: He Wasn't a Jerk Before #3: He Wasn't a Jerk After All #4: He Wasn't a Jerk In The End

Being the new girl is hard. But being the new girl that shows up on her first day of school accompanied by the three hottest guys on campus is even harder. You could practically see 99% of the school's female population seething with jealousy as soon as they pulled into the parking lot. I mean, I would be too if some chick I'd never seen before turned up squashed between two Greek Gods with another one at the wheel. So you see, when Cassandra's parents decided to move from their nice, quiet, typical suburban town to a little dot on the coast known as Bells Bay, she didn't think her life would change THAT drastically. But of course, fate and an extremely attractive boy by the name of Shane Ryder just had to intervene and prove her wrong. She is Cassandra Greene after all, and nothing usually goes her way.

"He clenched his fists to bring himself back to earth, shutting off the tap. He stood stationary, wondering if anything he had been thinking for the last five minutes made any sense at all. Every thought was about her; he wanted her more than anyone. He came down to one conclusion: he was truly obsessed with her." Cover credit to @Nargles

"Did our kiss mean anything to you? I mean, if it didn't then I'll leave right now, but it sure as hell meant something to me." Cain confessed, as if fighting with himself as the rain pounded against his head, his hazel eyes glaring at her through the thick droplets which fell between them. "Cain...I-- ." Alana was speechless, confused and shocked all at the same time. He was falling in love with her. Alana could not believe her ears. The only problem was that she could not be with him now, if ever. If anyone knew how wonderful, yet frightening it was to fall in love, it was definitely not Alana-May. Although she had been in a relationship months prior, which lasted for two years, she could not say that she was head over heels for her partner. She could say that she loved working at Perfect Events, but when arrested on the job, however, Alana's life takes an unpredicted turn, especially as new friends are introduced into her life. When, without any warning, she begins to fall hard for someone that she hadn't expected, what would she do? Trust her heart and take a chance, or run away in an attempt to hide from her feelings and maybe her only chance at true love as a result of seeing her many heartbroken friends?

“You’re making a huge mistake,” I whispered, my words cracked, crumbling at the seams like I was inside. He looked up at me, those bright, emerald irises danced with everything that I never was. “Maybe,” he shrugged. The words and the decision seemed to come easily for him. It was then that I realised that it was because he was normal. He’d done this so many times. “Or maybe,” he took my hands in his. They felt big as they enveloped my own; his touch foreign. “It could be the best decision of our lives.” - Love is overrated. Crying is overrated. Life is overrated. This is because Annabelle Salter is a simple girl. She doesn’t need these complications that are love, weakness, and opportunity. She’s a simple girl with a not so simple past. She had her life planned out: She was sticking it out with her mother in adoption – Ariel – in a small unheard of town in England until she turns nineteen. Home-schooled, quiet, reserved and having spent the majority of her childhood isolated from the reality that is danger, socialization and people, she isn’t prepared for the very complicated idea that comes crashing into her well thought out and organised life. After an anonymous phone call to her house in England, she receives news that she’s to travel to New England, America, over Christmas. It’s only law for things to go wrong when an eighteen year old girl who has no idea how to handle life, and mostly, people; gets thrown into working in a mansion containing masses of celebrities all battling it out for ignorant television. She’s just trying to survive her time there. Little did she think the thing she doubted the most, would get in the way.
