"You were..." he doesn't finish. "What?!" she demands and walks up to him, her face inches from his. "What am I, other than some damsel in distress that you were forced to rescue?" Adams eyes were dangerous in that moment, and Marina was searching for something. "I-- " he never finishes his sentence.
