Ember is a 16 year old girl. She lived a normal life until her world literally turned upside down. When an unknown disease triggers a series of suicides, all of mankind fears for their lives. Through a series of unfortunate events, she realizes she is invulnerable to the disease, and after loosing someone very special to her, she sets off on her own seeking answers, as she travels Ember tries to survive, not only from the world, but herself too.
