Loshay Jergins is a 15 year old run away who got caught up in the drug dealing business being introduced by her boyfriend at the time Tommy. After a horrible situation she got into the prostitution business. Her pimp and the time told "Nice throat"(Loashay nick name) to not use condoms and ended up have a kid at 16. To try and take care of her baby she continues to be a prostitute. She soon gets her baby taken. She decides to change her life but in order to do that she has to revisit her past. The poem Scare Not Wounds talks about the pain and suffrage that happened to the black( meaning slavery). Although there's no slavery today , the pain they went through is not forgotten and has become a scare to the generations to come.
