Rita is a lonely, unexciting, homebody. She's covinced that she will die alone, that is, until she meets Kurtis. Kurtis' middle name is PLAYER. He's the ultimate ladies' man and a drug boss. He's just visiting his grandmother at church when he stumbles upon the meek but beautiful girl with a powerful voice, Rita. As he learns how to be a real man and how to love not only Rita but, God, she learns to not just be alive but to live. They encounter some obstacles that cause riffs in their relationship and test just how true their love is. Will they last or will they let certain obstacles stand in the way of their quest to true love?
