I am confined within the inlet of my brain. But I will not get lost in the riptide of my mind. ~My entry for Wattpad's Mind Over Matter Contest~

(Placed in the Top 10 of the #MindOverMatterContest) A collection of works I have written based on issues I have faced and how I got over them. I like to think of this as an advice/inspirational message sort of thing. If any of you have anything you need advice on, feel free to comment or private message me. I'll answer to the best of my abilities. #MindOverMatterContest Entry: It's not uncommon for people to struggle with the desire to be perfect. This was how I got past the whisperers of my own mind, and finally succeeded in finding my own definition of the word so often used to describe something unattainable: perfection.

It is never about the happy ending, the prize, reward or the success. Life is about the journey. How we got there, what we had to endure. It's about the pain we all feel. The pain that pushes us forward but can also throw us so far back in our progress. At least, that's how I see it. You can't have happiness without sadness or success without failure. I thought my life was perfect, glorious, spotless. I was content with myself and the future that I was producing. That was all before everything changed. I became tired, confused, lonely and the only thing I could truly blame was my own head, my own thoughts. I had to learn the true meaning of being myself and how to want to live again. The thoughts in my head, constantly manipulating me, insulting me, tearing me apart slowly and fading out all of my originality, were relentless. This 500 word piece shows my struggle, my failure, my regret but also, describes my success, my future, and my happiness. I could not be where I am now without this hardship, without learning how to make the voices hush.

In an alternate reality, five teenagers must save the world from an expanding entity called 'Joan'. The five (plus one extra) tried to contain her as children but as almost eight years later she escapes and slowly seeks revenge. The six children must fight the prophecy damning them to their fates and defeat Joan. Along the way they will discover their pasts are more murky than they once believed and make a choice that could either save the world or destroy it.

[Zeus x Hera] (Note: Rake is an old term for player) For thousands of years, the Queen of the Gods has put up with her philandering, arrogant, conceited and uncaring husband. She became known as a jealous and vindictive queen. But turning your husband's mistresses into a cow was justified, right? But what happens when she reaches the end of her rope? Hera, the Queen of the Gods who also happens to be the Goddess of Marriage decides that she's had enough. She leaves Zeus and all of Olympus behind so that she could go to the Mortal Realm and experience a different kind of life. She reinvents herself and finally gets to do the things she longed to do. Finally, she was free! But as they say: you don't realize what you have until it is gone. Zeus, the King of the Gods, wants Hera back in his life. This time, he decides to turn all his charms to wooing his wife and gaining her back. But will Hera be his wife and queen again?
