Sariel, the fallen angel who taught humans the mysteries of the Moon has been cast inside of the abyss… of Tartarus. While his body is said to be dead, his soul is alive and can be redeemed if, in order to repay for his past transgressions of fathering the Nephilim, he finds innocent love with a mortal female. After eons of fruitless searching across the psychic stratosphere, he manages to connect with Evelina, a teenage girl on a self-induced quest for truth, by entering her dreams. Miles away, a beautiful youth named Daniel is standing face to face with death. As he struggles to accept his imminent departure, he experiences a series of visions in the altered state between dream and lucidity that lead him to discover answers to life’s most daunting mysteries. When destiny brings Eve and Daniel together, they realize that they share a heart-shattering fragment of history. As the night of revelations begins to spill her deepest and darkest secrets, Eve yearns to understand the essence of life and love. But when she awakens the next morning, Daniel’s existence is questioned. This is when her four guides, the Archangels disguised as her friends enter her life to save her soul from Sariel’s advances and help her unravel Daniel’s mystery. Moonchild is a semi-autobiographical story with a metaphysical twist – part true, part fantasy enveloped in a gothic mantle with undercurrents of magic realism; a contemplative coming of age book loaded with action. It is my first novel and it is written primarily for the young adult audience.
