[EXCERPT] I swerved around and managed to prevent a werewolf from attacking Lincoln's unprotected back in the nick of time. Adrenaline rushed through my veins as I deflected the multiple slashes from the werewolf; focusing on my own battle instead of worrying about Lincoln. Words could not describe my feelings when my cold blade kissed the attacker's thick skin at the nape of its neck, leaving behind a trail of crimson blood. A yelp tore from its throat as it backed away from me. The corners of my lips lifted upwards when Lincoln said a word of encouragement. Our backs met for a fleeting moment before we sprung back into action again.
