Against my better judgment, I answer, "Look I told you, you have the wrong number," I say a bit too harshly. "I wish I was the girl you were looking for but I'm not." "You do, huh?" His husky voice fills my ear again and I shiver. What the hell is he going on about? "What are you talking about?" I ask confused. "That you wish you were the girl I was looking for," he says amused. I groan remembering exactly what I said and palm my face, "I said that huh?" "Uh huh!" *** Fallon Mathews is a waitress who works entirely too hard and too much. She is pretty, smart, and not shy. Alexander Grant is the owner of one of the hottest clubs around- which just so happens to be the same club that Fallon likes to go to in her free time. Oh did I also mention that he is the son of a well-known CEO? A billionaire? No!? Well, he is. He isn't a player, but he does sleep around a lot. After all, he is single. What happens after he is given the wrong number that just so happens to be, Fallon's? Love, friendship, heartache, drama, and tragedy all in one! **WARNING** There most likely will be lots of errors! ----- In serious need of revision! ----- Wanna-be journalist Kate Santoro would do anything for the scoop. Anything. Including finding her way into an underground club exclusive to only those in the Genovese mafia and the beautiful women they employee. What could be more perfect? She would stick to the shadows, snap a few videos, and write the biggest story New York has ever seen, therein making her a legend! Easy as pie. Until she gets found. A series of blatant lies and lucky breaks later and she is mistaken to be one of the workers underneath. While many might be terrified of this predicament Kate couldn't be more excited. The freedom to roam the area and talk to the members of the infamous brotherhood will leave no rock unturned. All she has to do is keep her cover until the night is over and the workers go home. What a fantastic position she is in! There are just two problems. One being him. Alessio. The Don, the Godfather, the Capo di tutti capi (the boss of bosses) who has taken a keen interest in Kate. Even that is something she could probably handle for one night. Except problem number two. They don't leave. Not at the end of the night, the end of the week, or even the end of the month. Alessio's interest in Kate threatens to expose her, something she would surely die from. He knows she doesn't belong but it's not as though she could have just waltzed in, right? By the time Kate realizes that not even the greatest scoop is worth the price, she is in far too deep to call it quits now. ~~~Praise for When The Sun Goes Down~~~ Natasha427: "It was so captivating that I may or may not have spent the last several hours holed up in my room frantically scrolling down to read more. I LOVED IT!" uninteresting17: "You're my soulmate. I love just everything about your writing." Daisy_Blue: "Has anyone seen my heart? It seems to have been ripped out and tossed across the ocean." [edited version of Doctor for the Mafia] Ila Archer was a doctor working at one of the best hospitals in New York. She loses her license and ability to practice due to, as punishment, taking full responsibility for the 'walking patient' incident. After a full month, Ila runs into the 'walking patient'. Knowing her situation caused by his actions, he offers a once in a lifetime opportunity. ----- "Look, you're a doctor-" He started. "Was." I corrected. "I was a doctor." "You can still be," he said, running his fingers through his dark hair. "Look, you can work for us, and I'll pay triple the amount you were earning at that lousy hospital." "Us?' I asked. Who was he? How exactly does he plan on paying me triple? He grabbed my wrist and pulled me inwards. My face inches away from his chest. With his free hand, he was gently tucking my hair behind my ear. His breath tickled my ear as he whispered two words that sent shivers down my back. "The Mafia."
