"Tale as old as time. Song as old as rhyme." - Beauty and the Beast.
A somewhat modern day retelling of the classic fairytale.
⇒
Upon meeting Lauren, the saying 'beauty is only skin deep' solidifies with Zayn. She may be the most beautiful girl he's ever laid eyes on, but he can see through her. And inside, beyond her stained glass eyes, is someone rotten. But perhaps Zayn's insight is tricked by broken glass shards that distort reality and create an illusion of what Lauren wants outsiders to witness.
Someone once said before her, "I like you pretty," and it remains so deeply embedded within her that it wounds her body. And unlike beauty, scars aren't only skin deep.
