wthkinkmeme prompt #352: through IMs and text, Jonathan and Lil talk about their haunting counterparts…and their new discovery.

Loosely based on Carrie Underwood's song, Just A Dream, most of the story is flashbacks that eventually lead up to what is happening in the present. Jonathan Combs enlists in the military and is being deployed to Afghanistan tomorrow while his boyfriend, Napoleon "Sock" Sowachowski, is worried about his safety. The story takes place four years after this with Sock getting ready to go to church.

Sock and Jonathan are going to Prom after Sock bugs Jonathan into going.

Jonathan remembers his days as a surfer in his beach town. That is before he moved to the house we all know and love. where he eventually meets his little demon Sock.

He just got rid of Sock, (who is very happy with Jonathan for the record) when another smart-ass shows up at his doorstep.

Answering to a Wanted Ad, Jonathan not only ends up with sharing a (expensive) skeleton with Sock but ends up as his roommate. After various odd places where Sock puts the skeleton just to scare him. Jonathan finds something he didn’t expect when he answered that ad, love. Sockathan.
