"If I tell you, then I'll have to kill you." Japhet laughed creepily, preening his fluffy, white wings. "I'm bluffing, haha! The Subjects are experiments for a program that was used in our dimension before the Batter arrived, they were used to keep our world in check. But, sadly, they lost control and fled to other worlds. No soul knows the reason why or how they lost control, anyways...You are one of them, though, you don't appear or act like one." I knit my eyebrows. "How do you know I am one?" "It's extremely obvious. Look at your left wrist." "My birth mark?" I realized that the dark marking on my wrist appeared to resemble an 'X'. I never actually noticed that before. Japhet nodded and smiled. "What do you do with Subjects?" I asked nervously. "They believe that Subjects need to be Purified by the Batter. A few Spectors, some Pastel Burnts, and Zacharie...and, of course, me, do not believe it."

You are a girl who has just moved to a small town, and is clueless of her surroundings and the people living around her. Zacharie is a masked man who makes a living as a traveling merchant, and is known by many as a 'credit fanatic.' He never showed his face to anyone, and even though you eventually become close friends, it is the main thing that ticks you off about him. You never expected that when he finally showed his face to you, you'd find yourself falling deeply in love with him, and you'd find out that he had felt the same way about you all along- but what happens when you are finally together?

He gave a low chuckle, before looking back at you. "Tu es l'amour de ma vie, mon chou," "...What?" you questioned, looking up at the taller man and raising an eyebrow.
