Like a lot of my stories, I wrote this many years ago and it's not very good. The plot is confusing and it was all poorly written and rushed because I didn't know what exactly I wanted the story to be about. Anyway, if you do read it, just know what to expect. The plot is based off of the band's song "Tower" and the story that I pulled from it. You're the daughter of Nobles living in Avatar Country. The country gets invaded and has to go to war which means a lot of people need to evacuate. What will happen when a certain clown earns your trust and takes you with him to a place you'll be "safe".

Ava Mckenna never truly fit in anywhere. She was always the black sheep of the crowd. Though despite her seclusion from society, her true passion for aerial arts and acrobatics made her feel on top of the world. Little did she know that she would come across a freakish circus she would soon call home and a dark clown, Johannes, whom she'd grown to cherish.

Johannes, also cruelly called 'vampire,' has been viciously bullied and harassed his whole life, and it just gets worse and worse with every passing school year. When he hits high school, it takes its toll and he falls into depression and becomes severely anorexic out of fear of more vicious harassment if he gains any more weight. When he finally meets his first real friends, he's dangerously close to giving up. Will they be able to save him? Or will Johannes just become another tragic bullying story?

He steps closer, head cocked to the side. From the angle at which the lights hits his narrow face, it makes his glamour glisten like fresh paint. Behind the curtain of raven tresses, his sleepy eyes embed into my skin icicles, cold and unrelenting. "Oh yes, I believe so, hjärtat," he purrs. His voice is smooth as silk. "Every opportunity has gone to waste. You know that. But I'm giving you more time to see how far you'll go-how far you'll bend-until you realize you're digging up fool's gold." He comes to a stop right mere inches away from me. The leather of his gloves squeaks as he gently pinches my chin between his fingers and lifts it up. Once again, against my very nature, every reason resurfaces to my mind as to way I haven't completed this fucking mission.
