Ana Belmonte has fallen in love with Jared O'Hare, a boy she knows she can never have unless she musters the courage to overcome the only obstacle standing in her way. She has already failed and ran away from him once, leaving behind not one, but two shattered hearts. "It's okay," and "I'll find someone better," are two lies she always tells herself in order to ease the pain and after a while she, too, starts to believe in them. Just when Ana thinks she has moved on, Jared returns home for the holidays and all of the effort she has put into forgetting about him ends in vain as she finds herself falling for him all over again. Will Ana be able to experience what true happiness feels like this Christmas, or will she allow her fear to triumph the love she harbors for Jared as it has done in the past?

Estelle Richards' parents don't celebrate Christmas. She doesn't feel like she's missing out on anything - she's just used to it by now. After a tragedy convinced her to follow her parents to New York about a year and a half ago, she's spent her previously outgoing life in the quiet. And she likes it. She likes it a lot. Noel Pearson is only tolerable on the subject of two things: his younger sister and Christmas. Since the latter is rushing up to meet them, he's determined to put on his brightest smile. But when he hears that there's a freshman girl who has never had a Christmas in her entire life, he decides that she's his next challenge. There's just one problem: he's got less than a month. Can he really teach Estelle Richards how to love Christmas in just twenty-five days? ▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲ Warning: this is a cute, cliché Christmas story. Read at your own risk! This Christmas was definitely NOT what Estelle had in mind. Working hard to earn money and fly back home to her family for the holidays, she goes through many not-so-jolly things this year. At the brink of flying back, a huge snow storm arrives canceling her wishes leading her to lose herself beyond the streets of New York. She stumbles across a small apartment for rent owned by a boy who took her in. After, they realize they are both trapped in the building together due to the harsh weather forcing them to build a VERY awkward and nutty relationship between each other. This fun short romantic comedy will surely put a smile on your face this holiday season!

❝ Wait," I say, backing away. "Let me get this straight- you're Santa Clause?" I stare at the boy no more than a couple years older than me. He had to be kidding. He rolls his eyes, his handsome face illuminated by the lights on the tree. "Well when you put it that way, I suppose." The candy cane i am sucking on falls from my lips, clattering to the floor. "B-But where's the beard, the overflowing fat and the HO HO HO?" He snorts, a charming smile on his lips as he tugs on the end of my Santa hat. "Sweetheart, it's all just the Santa Clause Act.❞ ~*~ p.s. The current cover was made by Isasecret Ranking: short story #9/ Teen Fiction: #56
