'How could I have been so blind?' That was the question that demanded attention in Asari Kazue's mind. As time passed and her surroundings continued to shift, that one thing never changed. She never saw the person that she walked outside of Konoha's protective walls to meet again- it was as if he'd become someone else entirely. She'd been too blind, too trusting, too naive- Never again. At the same time, while part of her wishes to escape, the other part is only longing to find that side of him again. Perhaps then, she'd be able to make sense of all of the confusing feelings- the ones that hurt despite the fact that she's a girl who's never known the feeling of pain. *** 'I just want to breath without someone jumping.' Jun's rapidly deteriorating control over the part of himself he once labeled Kurai Jiko has everyone who's aware of the situation leaping to their feet the second the boy does as much as form a hand-sign. It's suffocating. For the boy whose only dream was to be a normal shinobi of the village, his life has all but become a nightmare of his. He'd do anything to escape it. Anything except run from it. *** 'Just for now, let's keep it a secret. The moment everyone knows... everything will change.' The two years that her team was in splinters, Miki found refuge in the one person around her who never changed. When he was nearby, she could breath. She could think without her mind pulling up memories that as far as she knows, can never become reality again.  When he's not around, however, everything comes crashing down. In an attempt to escape this, she's taken more missions in two years than she'd done in her lifetime up till that point. At the same time, a piece of news appears that will change everything- not just her life, but the life of the one person she cares about the most as well. Sometimes, however, change is a good thing- whether one wants to accept it or not.

The bandages that covered his face in life have fallen away, all incinerated and hanging loosely around his neck. His face is completely destroyed. Unrecognizable. The skin covering his face is no longer there, all having melted away. His blood vessels have all burst, his nerves have fried along with the majority of his muscles. His jaw opens and closes a little bit. His eyes bore into me. They're large and round and completely accusing. His teeth are covered in bits of burnt muscle. I feel my heart thudding in my chest. He steps closer, closer. His bone gleams in the dim light. As he closes in on me, a pounding noise begins ringing through my ears. My heart beat- ba-dum. Ba-dum. Ba-dum. It looked like he had been tossed into a fryer, fried alive, and he had been. By me. I did this to someone. I killed someone's team mate, someone's son. I killed someone's important person. -- Kimiko Kioku, a memory keeper. Never forgets anything, always notices, from the exact way the wind blew her hair against her face to coloring with her brother at five to the lullaby her mother would sing to her as she rocked her when she was not even a year old. She remembers. She remembers the blood, the glassy, clouded over eyes her brother had as he said his last words. She remembers the very first person she killed. She remembers how abandoned she feels, and how everything always feels like it's falling apart at the seams. (Can you say 'worst summary ever to exist'? Okay, maybe not that bad. But still pretty bad.)

Kiyomi Himura has a rather large problem. A chakra beast with an earth nature, the wolf named Fenrir, sealed himself inside her at a young age. Originally from Yamagakure, the Village Hidden in the Mountains, Kiyomi had to leave at the age of five when her parents died on a mission. Her brother Kaien took them to Konohagakure, the original home of their parents, and the Hokage allowed them to settle in. Fast forward four years, and now Kaien is dead. He'd attempted the same mission as their parents, and while his team completed it, he died in the process. But Kiyomi isn't alone. She still has her guardian Hachi, a retired Jonin who the Hokage assigned to look after her, considering she was nine. And of course, Fenrir is still there inside her. Kiyomi grows with the Hidden Leaf, knowing all the other would-be shinobi in her class, including Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. But she keeps herself distant, seeing how they treat Naruto, who's also housing a beast. And she stays this way until the graduation. Kiyomi's placed on the five-man team of Team Seven, and has no other choice but to open up to her teammates, and the other graduates. She learns more about her connection to Fenrir, and how to utilize it in a fight, giving her a unique fighting style few others could accomplish. And she may also find romance along her journey of adventure, mystery, and everything else being a shinobi is about! That totally didn't sound cliche or anything... *Quick Author's Note- In this story, all teams will have five members. All canon teams, I have added an OC to. Just to make sure you're all not confused. Cover credit to ILoveWolvezz!

Himura Akemi was training to be a priestess. At least she was before her entire village plus her family decided to give her the boot at age 7. She then becomes a nomad wandering around the 5 Great Shinobi Nations. She's met lots of interesting people and learned a lot of skills. But because of her secluded village and her moving around so much she has no idea what a ninja is or that they exist. So when some Konaha ninjas finds her after a bad encounter with some people and force her into becoming a resident ninja of Konaha. What is Akemi going to do? She's going to wreak havoc of course. ***Be warned that I wrote this in middle school and it's full of overused anime tropes and has a Mary Sue protagonist, but it has it randomly funny moments. Enjoy my burning trash fire of fanfiction***
