Jade is the typical high school loner. That is, until she meets a special someone and his wild group of friends, and is thrown into a life she'd never expected to have; roadtrips? Parties? Romance, perhaps? (This was my first Strokes fic, so obviously it's pretty badly written and quite cringeworthy to read, but if you manage to read up to the halfway point, I promise you it gets more bearable to read from there!)

When 22 year-old music lover and daydreamer Ellie Clark is presented, by chance, the opportunity to work for one of her favorite bands, her stagnant life rapidly changes, and she finally gets to live out the adventure she has been longing for her whole life. Follow this young girl as she finds new passions, pursues her dreams, and falls in love with the singer of her favorite band. Background info: *This story begins in New York in 2002 in the middle of Fiona, a minor character, breaking up with Julian. The break-up is a catalyst for the writing of the song "Automatic Stop." Julian becomes depressed for a short amount of time, but he soon gets a "different view" when he meets Ellie... *The story is written in first person and alternates perspectives between Julian and Ellie, the two main characters, telling the story in present tense. ❣ Fun Fact: The Strokes' T in the Park 2004 "Automatic Stop" performance inspired me to write this story. ✏️Author's Note: This is my first fan fiction! tried my best to write this piece with accuracy by reading obscure Strokes articles, watching several interviews, listening to their music, and subsequently incorporating various aspects into the creation of this story. Of course, I left the rest to my imagination... Thanks to anyone who took the time to read what I have written so far! Comments are always appreciated! (:
