Jonathan lived his life away from the sea for as long as he could remember, until his friend got their chance to finally be on the open waters. If fate would have it, pirates came and took him and his friends away. One particular pirate captain would catch his eye. Lance, to put it simply, was an awful prince. Mostly because he was never supposed to be one, and being completely thrown into the role at age ten with exactly zero instruction didn't help. Things had a sudden change. And another. And one more time, as he found himself tumbling out of his sleep pod and into a very pretty person. This person was not Altean. Nor was this person even female. That was distressing. They grew closer, fighting together, becoming a good team. His attraction didn't die off. It just came with the added bonus of actual romantic feelings he couldn't do anything about. Lance was still an awful prince, even if he had nothing to be prince of.

During a battle against the empire they captured the red Paladin. The Paladins must flee to live to get Keith back. While in captivity he becomes a lab rat for a new experiment. Which doesn't go as they plan.

Jonathan is going to Canada to see his friends for a week, they all agreed to stay with Evan and he was thrilled, Jon was excited to see his friends again, but more specifically he was excited to see Evan, he had developed a crush on him about a week or two after they first met, but what Jon doesn't know is that he's in for a big surprise.
