The world has come to be divided by the four main species- sky elves, sea elves, vampires and werewolves- and their ongoing war, initiated by the question of whether or not to expose themselves to the humans, who have been around for much longer and could easily kill them all. Haley is a werewolf, but her twin brother Andrew is a sea-elf who was exiled from their pack when they were kids. Haley is re-united with her brother when she is assigned a mission to kill him, but instead sneaks him back onto pack territory and hides him in her house. The problem is that her arch-nemesis, Alexander is the only one who knows about her little secret and has plans to help them escape. But why is she suddenly developing feelings for Alexander? And can she even trust him? Or will he betray her just like everyone else...?

Ekkra Bernne never had it all. She lives as a princess on a different world than us, where her castle is more like a cottage. There is less than 10 people living in the world because of disease because they had moved to a better place: Earth.
