"Science fiction writers foresee the inevitable, and although problems and catastrophes may be inevitable, solutions are not." - Isaac Asimov This piece is intended as a bit of a Help guide, a point of reference and hopefully something people will enjoy, as ultimately all of you will have different experiences reading and writing science fiction, and writing in general. If nothing else, I hope it inspires you to try your hand at writing Science Fiction if you haven't already.

~~(D I S C O N T I N U E D)This is pretty horrible, I know, and unedited. I wrote it about five years ago. I'm not going to delete it off of Watty here, but I'm not continuing it because I thought that the idea was too cliche and the story wasn't going anywhere with me. If you're looking for something, check out Into the Void, a shared project on a shared account that I am part of, @StarCatching. Thanks guys! :)~~ Vivian Pheonix and her lost twin, Quinne, are the legendary sisters of Fire and Cold. Together they must reunite and only use their powers for the sake of just; if they become evil, the fate of the world is at stake.  Vivian must find Quinne, rescue her from the evil assassins, who were either meant to kill her, or use her for their side of the war (because she posses a rare gift, as does her sister). They begin a dangerous escape so that they can plan their strategies, and a rebellion, to cease the war.  A spinning tale of adventure and skill lies ahead.

Consuming Impulses is a realistic drama that follows the lives of two best friends who are on the brink of great self-discovery while fighting the demons of the past and present. When you live in a world where every action is up for scrutiny and criticism, it doesn't take much for two susceptible young adults to get dragged into the glamour of destruction. Christina has long buried any real emotion and the painful memories of her childhood and is going through each day with a mask. Her survival is to pretend, but what happens when she starts to slowly unravel while her volatile father is reaching his own breaking point? Discovery of dark secrets, a distancing best friend, school pressure, and the call of the blade is going to make one hell of a fatal senior year that'll test the sanest of psyches. Daniel is facing pressures from each direction. He has to reach the end of the senior year with a feisty Hispanic mother, an emotionally distant father, and a shady brother at his back. With no career and college direction in mind, he's forced to watch the girl he loves spiral without him, while fighting his own temptations. He's going to have to find out sooner rather than later what makes a real man even if it means letting some people go. This is not a tale of great love, though about when love isn't enough and it is as poisoning as it is sweet. When lies are more revealing than truths, and that happy endings are foreign concepts. It's reaching the end of senior year, signifying the end of an era, but for some it just means the end.

NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON AMAZON AND BARNES&NOBLE! THIS IS A SAMPLE OF THE PUBLISHED BOOK. _____________________________ Livvie Jefferson is lame. If it weren't for the secret list of crazy things she'd like to do, she'd be less interesting than a piece of stale bread. Harvey Lockwell is a God. An unattainable God. Livvie's content with staring Harvey down from afar and wiping the drool from her chin, until everything changes when she's forced to have actual contact with him during their after-school tutoring seasons. In a cringe-worthy chain of events, Livvie's boring life turns into a catastrophic mess when Harvey ends up finding her secret list. Things take another turn for the worse when Livvie accidentally runs away from home while on a high-speed chase straddled to the back of Harvey's motorcycle. Not only does she have to endure the embarrassment from being caught with a bucket list at the ripe age of seventeen that includes losing her virginity, but she also has to figure out exactly what Harvey ended up doing that caused them to be chased out of town by a band of criminals and how to fix it. Crazy house parties, grungy motel rooms, unexpected make-out sessions, bad dancing, and a scandalous twist are just the beginning. For a girl who's never done anything remotely exciting, Livvie Jefferson is in for some pretty bad things.

"If the world can't handle the truth, give them a spectacular lie." Bitch. That's what they called me at my old school. I disagree: I'm just brutally honest, that's all. Some people don't like honesty. Exhibit A: Matthew's family. None of them want to acknowledge that their Golden Boy is gay. Exhibit B: My Mother. I only told her the truth: that she was a crappy parent who never should've gotten knocked up in the first place. But she was so offended that she shipped me off to my fabulously wealthy father and his walking-billboard-for-plastic-surgery of a wife. So I devised a brilliant plan. My new friend Matthew was sick of hiding his sexuality. I was tired of obnoxious rich boys hitting on me. So why not pretend to be dating? He wouldn't have to answer uncomfortable questions anymore, and I'd enter my new school as the girlfriend of the star quarterback. It should be easy, right? Of course, I didn't plan on falling for Matthew's brother.
