Saw this on Tumblr, decided to make this and see where it went. A rap battle featuring 2009!Dan, 2009!Phil, 2015!Dan, 2015!Phil, Dil, and the Lion.

❝I wish I could have told you that, Dan.❞ - Phil Lester grew up. Dan Howell didn't have the chance to, well, in Phil's eyes, anyway. Phil finds himself with a lot of time alone, and so he sits down with a pen and caramel macchiato and reminisces on days on the Manchester Eye, the sofa at Starbucks and walks through abandoned hospitals. - A My Chemical Romance inspired fan fiction, taking place when Phil doesn't have Dan.

There's a war going on, and the Unlisted aren't winning against The New Generation of super soldier. Dan already had no one, but losing Phil, his closest friend, hurt more and over a month later he is still mourning. Flashbacks of memories don't make the pain lessen either. But maybe being a little careless in battle may turn out to be in his favour when a guardian angel with a gun shows up to save him.

After one day at his new school, Dan finds himself falling for Phil, the cute guy in his English class. Will they be good match like the sky and the sea, or will their relationship always be platonic?

Phil doesn't have a best friend in his life. That is, until Dan turns up at his school. They become close and Phil finds out that Dan has a twin brother, but hates to talk about him. It's not until Phil comes over to Dan's house that he finds out why.

Phil doesn't talks. Well, not anymore. The last time he said something, was when he didn't hate himself. And that was a long time ago. But now, everything is different. He must struggle with depression, whilst new boy Dan Howell desperately attempts to win him over. [Warning: this could be triggering at some points]

Phil starts getting cute, little messages from a secret admirer and gradually feels himself falling more and more in love with the boy. But can you really like someone you've never seen before? And what will happen when Phil finds out the real identity of his admirer?

Dan and Phil are both Grade 12 students in high school with similar, yet not so similar problems. They can be there for each other when no one else can, but that could lead to their self destruction. Or their self rebuilding. *there's gonna be some foul language in this fic, and some smut later on, but for the most part this fic is fluff* ENJOY
