Kellin Quinn is what you might call a disaster, a dead man walking. Vic Fuentes is what you might call perfectly imperfect. They were two people who you would never expect to befriend each other, let alone to fall in love. There is Vic, desperately trying to save Kellin who is falling apart right before his eyes, and there is Kellin, trying just as desperately to save Vic from loving a tragic man like him. (Kellic) Why is it so hard for Kellin to keep up his 'good boy' act? All he really has to do is finish his online classes for college. Then he can move out of his mom's house, and move on in his life as an interior decorator. But, maybe it has something to do with his new neighbor who just moved in, the plumber.

(Kellic) Who's that loner guy who wears the skeet cargo pants and the ugly striped turtle necks? That's Vic. He's what you call a "geek" or "loser," which ever works for you. Who's that guy who gets bad grades and flirts with every living thing? That's Kellin. He's what you call a "bad boy" or "jackass," again, which ever works for you. And now Kellin's sex deprived and stupid. Stupid as in he needs to get tutored before he's unable to graduate and sex deprived as in, well, sex deprived. And Vic, Vic is the poor son of a bitch who has to tutor him.

Always cheerful, Kellin is more than happy to enter his Junior year. Indeed, he'll be able to join a famous swimming club at his school: the Swordfish Club. But things won't go smoothly for him. At his first training, his new bossy trainer, Vic, says he can't stay on the team because he doesn't have the skills for it. In order to stay, Kellin will have to take extra lessons with none other than the disgruntled trainer.

Vic Fuentes has been living a pretty normal and subtle life as a writer in his peaceful home. However, he's been in a horrible case of writer's block for almost a year. Putting his brother's idea into consideration, he has gotten his entire world shaken up by visiting a gay strip club one night.

Kellin Quinn is gay. It's no secret and it's no small matter. Neglected and ignored, Kellin fights his way through life and when Vic's words start getting to him, he turns to destructive methods to save himself.
