Karissa and Ariel have been with the WWE and on it's flagship show Monday Night Raw for a few months now. They arrived there after a year or so in FCW, WWE's developmental facility. Karissa met Justin Gabriel there and they've been together for as long as they've been there which is a year. Ariel is dating Ted DiBiase Jr, but he's seeing her behind his current girlfriend Maryse's back. This causes them having to sneak around, making sure not to be seen by others including Maryse herself. Justin and Karissa's journey together through the WWE begins with one night, the night he debuts.

NXT, the show that either makes it or breaks it those involved. This is their one chance to get into the WWE. Make it to the finale and if they're chosen as the winner, they earn a WWE contract and a future title match at a WWE Pay-Per-View.
