When Jenna was six years old, she watched a boy leap off a building, sprout wings as he fell, then fly off into the distance. Her young mind embraced and believed the boy was real, but as she got older, she was teased more and more about "The Boy Who Can Fly." Jenna will be forced to see therapist after therapist, counselor after counselor, all trying to break her belief in the flying boy. To avoid all of the ridicule from her family and her peers, she spends high school pretending to be "cured" from her wild imagination. Once she leaves for college, she intends never to tell anyone about the boy she saw that night, until it comes back to haunt her.

We know how the Hunger Games goes- Katniss volunteers for her younger sister and wins the games, escapes the Quell, and wins the rebellion. Well guess what, that never happened. Not in this account, anyways. Instead, Katniss never volunteered for Prim, and our little brave Primrose Everdeen won the games at age 12 and escapes the Quarter Quell. But it's not over. This is Prim's story, Mockingjay: Prim. This is a fan-fiction based on the novel "Mockingjay" by Suzanne Collins. *I do not own any rights to the characters, ideas, plot, dialogue, and whatsoever. All rights go to Suzanne Collins, the author of the original book, Mockingjay This is just a fan-fiction of the book. If you haven't read the books (or watched the movies), this might be a bit hard to understand.* ©2016 illiterate-writer

*click* We stop in our tracks. We turn to Jayla, who is looking down at her foot. She looks up at us, tears brimming her eyes. "Go." "But-" "Go." She says it forcefully this time. I stare at her and she looks at me. She nods. "I love you Jade. Be brave, OK?" I nod. And so I and the rest of the squad leave her, our boots leaving prints in the mud. Once we're about half a mile away we hear an explosion. That sound will never leave my mind, my friend will never leave my heart.
