Okie's fifteen. She lives in New York. She's got a few problems: she's failing geography, her dad's a wimp, and her mother, Sumatra, is a stone cold bitch. But things get a lot worse when Sumatra turns into a zombie and eats Okie's dad. Clio, Okie's grandmother, lives in Toronto; but since the zombie apocalypse, Toronto's a lot further away than it used to be. Clio suggests that Okie transport Sumatra across the border, because family is family. But coaching Okie by cellphone isn't easy, and Clio has some zombies of her own to contend with. Luckily she has some garden tools. Naomi Alderman and Margaret Atwood team up for this unusual two-hander. Encompassing love, death, sex, and the meaning of family, The Happy Zombie Sunrise Home will surprise, delight, and convince you of the vital importance of keeping ready supplies of rhubarb and mini-wieners in your freezer at all times. The story unfolds beginning October 24.

This novella was a Hugo and Nebula nominee twenty years ago. I lost both to Charles Sheffield -- whom I married five years later. Life sometimes really is just as strange as fiction.

‘When you’re older.’ These words have been haunting Elizabeth since England left. Well, now she’s older, moved back to London, and attending a private school. Funny thing is England seems to have a knack for getting himself into sticky situations such as (drum roll please) attending school! Hooray for high school! Better yet schools that Elizabeth goes too. Three cheers for magic! More like the European Union decided that the nations should attend a school in their respected country to understand the youth better. Drama, tears, love, betrayal, friendship, enemies, fortune cookies, and confessions. That sums part of it up. I’ve been told high school is better than middle school. Obviously they haven’t heard of Phantomhive Academy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I do not own Hetalia or any of the countries! I do own Elizabeth and any human characters used. I don’t know much about London or England for that matter so I’m sorry if I get something wrong about the place. And yes, I was thinking of Ciel when I came up with the schools name and no this is not a cross over xD
