Book one starts with Hruthvik (Maaya's son) who is prejudiced to think his mother was a cold, aristocratic dictator, who was interested in ruling the entire magic world than having time for a family life. He blames her for his orphaned state. He hopes his father might have been different and ventures to find out more about his dead parents. His God-mother, Maria who knows his prejudice very well insists upon his learning about his mother first. At the end of book one, he is left with opposite feelings and again prejudiced. This time about his father. He ends up blaming his father for Maaya's death. In book three, Maria again insists on him giving a chance to his father. He learns a lot about love, life, loss and mistakes through the life of his parents. He finally understands the power for eternal love and the level of sacrifice people would make for it. This is the third book in the Maaya series. Each book is interlinked with the other in the series. If you wish to just read this book, I assure you, you will understand the flow of the story, but you will never get the full story because one will never get the complete truth of the situation from only one perspective.
