How cruel could one be to tear the very thing, that kept someone going away from them? And to what extents would you go to regain these memories? Cass has been in the Glade since the beginning. As one of the first Gladers to ever come up in the Box, she's established her place in the Glade. When Cass meets the new Greenie, Thomas, she can't help but recognize him for some reason. She wracks her brain for days, trying to remember something about this boy, but can't seem to pinpoint it. Then...in a flash, it all comes flooding back.
