By year fifteen, every girl and boy recieve a special beast bond and power. Kids would commonly get the powers of fire, nature, air, werewolf, or vampire. Rarely, the power of water or telekinesis. Skolris got none of these... Can Skolris keep her power a secret or will she get sent away to some experiment lab? Will she be able to protect the town she loves from constant bombings? Can she find out the secret behind an organization who steals other people's beast bonds? And more importantly, can Skolris defeat a man whose greed is so strong that he consumes the powers within others and calls them his own while at the same time, protecting her loved ones and being hunted down? There is no night in the Everburning City. There can never be. ***** For four hundred years the Everburning City has withstood the advance of the life-strangling fog known as the Gloam. Its walls have held back five invasions, but on the eve of the sixth, the city's inhabitants know things have changed. Golems are coming out of the mist, and the bodies of the dead are rising at the Gloam's bidding. The city's last and most desperate line of defence comes in the form of the Crafters, individuals who can channel the power of fire, though they risk their sanity each time they do. The brightest of these valiant heroes are Tabitha a'Loria and her apprentice Gerald Reath. Tyler starts his third week at his job at the Team Crafted Theme Park, along with Mike Schmidt, but things quickly get back out of hand. Whatever Team Crafted Co. told the Law force to keep them quiet about all the past deaths has worn off, and the park is shut down and the animatronics taken to the dump. But Tyler just fixed it! Tyler has all the right to be upset about this! And yet, curiosity just might kill the cat again. If Tyler isn't careful, Team Crafted Co.will make sure that the boy becomes nothing more then a metal shell. The Voices can only do so much, but it's just so possible that some of those voices come from the living, whispering louder then their screams.
