After two years, the house next door to Marianne's is finally being sold and the new family is just moving in.
And with them is Noah.
Noah: the boy who seems to be everything he promises to be.
His walk, elegant.
His speech, cursive.
His presence, comforting.
His emotions, heart-throbbing.
But something's off about them. In this strictly small Christian community, it's expected you go church every Sunday, hang ornaments of biblical figures around the house, and at the very least, know how to lead prayers at the table; none of which Marianne's new neighbors do.
And it isn't until she catches a glimpse of Noah's sisters in brightly-colored headscarves when she realizes why.
They're Muslim.
Muslims are terrorists, women oppressors, abusers, and the list goes on. Or at least... That's what they're supposed to be... So why are they so normal?
And more importantly, how could Marianne ever fall in love with one?
