"She was a running waterfall, untouched by man. I was simply asleep until she came along." 22-year-old Cody lives in his own world, separate from reality. His constantly running mind occupies him with thoughts to get him through each day, which is especially hard with only an arm and a half. After a devastating departure from his now ex-girlfriend, he struggles to find comfort in his only remaining companionship; his cat, Scout. Cody lives alone, blind to what the world surrounding him has to offer, in an endless cycle of daily routine after daily routine. Until one day his cycle is interrupted by a passing shadow, and his eyes are forced open; allowing him to see all that he's let pass him by.
