Beca Mitchell is a big shot music producer and recording artist, and is invited as a special guest to a music class for underprivileged children, which just so happens to be run by cocky, big headed and very egotistical Chloe Beale.

Chloe and Beca, both single mothers, hadn't seen each other since college. After Beca moves to Maine, Chloe's hometown, their lives slowly start to intertwine. Soon enough, their children are friends, and they are rekindling their own friendship. Maybe even something else is sparking... Who knows?
