Alanna wasn't expecting to be abducted when she went to the old lake side house she inherited from a distant relative. And she sure wasn't expecting to be despised on sight by the older brother of the young winged male she'd befriended, and who'd included her in his rescue attempt. And thanks to High Commander Grouchy Bird Diah's behavior, they were nearly mated! But wait... there's more! Now all the Aeries of the Luvian people just HAVE to be the ones with bragging rights to the lone 'wingless female'... so now Alanna has the dubious honor of being fought over in a damn tourney! And winner gets to tote her home like a freaking football tucked under their arm... Como say what the hell?! If those flip-flapping-flyers think for one minute that she'll just LET some stranger HAVE her... JUST cuz they won some stupid archaic tournament? They will be in for a rude awakening when they end up maimed or worse the first time they try to 'claim' their prize... Lana ain't no Shrinking Violet... no means no biches! Not even those dark-mojo-having fools of the Lagos Isles with their 'Please Master may I have another?' aura, are going to change Lana's mind... well, maybe the Grouchy Bird might have a chance(he is awfully smexy)... if he were to ever get that stick surgically removed that is...

Kathleen had been imprisoned for years. She had no idea who they were or why she was there. Every day for years it had been the same thing. No talking or communicating with her captors after the first year she no longer tried. Getting beaten for making any noise at all. They didn't even speak within hearing distance of her. She was given a book and daily exercise but hadn't seen the sun or outside since she was put in her cell. Until that day when it all changed. Aliens existed and she was going somewhere with them, not sure as to where but at least she was out of her cell. She would not go back in one no matter how nice her new 'cage' seemed. Thinking of continuing this as another story with other humans and aliens. Like after Kathleen's abduction.

"What does it mean?" Theodora asked. "It means you're a witch," Mathilda said softly gently putting a hand on her shoulder, "like me." Theodora just sat looking at her companion in surprise. "It's a good thing Teddie." "I didn't believe in witches." "What about dragons Teddie, do you believe in them?" "Not sure about dragons, why?" "The egg you touched hatched and that yellow bird you complained about following you is a baby dragon." Theodora looked around the garden and spotted the dragon. The little dragon chirruped pleadingly. Sit here and don't move. I'll bring the rabbit I was going to stew for dinner. It only took a couple of minutes then she returned with a bowl of meat strips. "Hold a piece of rabbit like this and just be still." Theodora held the meat as instructed and the little dragon floated down turning blue in color and carefully took the offered tidbit. The second piece of rabbit was taken more greedily and then the little dragon landed on her forearm and started eating directly from the bowl. cover: SelfPubBookCovers.com/Shardel

I can't afford to have her blood on my hands." Gwen looked away, and he knew she saw the image that flashed in his mind. The slaughter. Bodies everywhere. ***The wrong girl is sometimes The Right One.*** Charlotte Samuels thought she'd be stuck waiting tables at Marlow's until all her debts are paid off-in about ten thousand years or so. She definitely didn't expect a marriage proposal from the arrogant Brandon Maxfield who was blackmailed by his father to make her his wife if he didn't want his least favorite cousin to run Maxfield Industries. Charlotte's instinct was to say HELL NO! but she's stumped by a few obstacles: 1.) His old man Martin Maxfield is dear to her heart and has been recently deteriorating in health. 2.) She gets a million dollars if she stays married to Brandon for a year. 3.) She would rather like the opportunity to teach the attractive but awfully rude man a few lessons he didn't think he needed from a 'teenage gold-digger' which was his term of endearment for her on their first date-er, business meeting. So what's a girl got to do, right? Sure, she's young and a little rough around the edges but there's something her would-be husband didn't know about her yet-she's nothing like he ever expected. Thrust into the glitzy world a standard-issue Mrs. Maxfield would fit perfectly and rule with impeccable social grace, Charlotte will either have to force herself into the mold or break free of it, risking what little she has left for everything that she can gain. *** Copyright © 2014 by Nina Tippett.
