He didn't care that the only time Todd talked to him was to complain to Damian about what an ingrate he was. He definitely didn't care that Drake wasn't living at the manor anymore and said he's drop by but never does. No. Damian Wayne did not care that he would basically be completely and utterly alone for 7 months and would spend those seven months lying to Grayson about all the "hang outs" he was doing with the family to keep Grayson from worrying that Damian was alone. So he lied. "Todd took me on a ride on his motorcycle." "Drake came to my art show at school." "Father and I talk a lot on patrol." Anything to keep Grayson from worrying. The issue? Damian was starting to wish his lies actually came true. Because like it or not, Damian had never felt so forgotten in his life. It's a good thing he doesn't care.

"All love is conditional" Damian says with dark eyes and a certainty that only reflected Bruce's own failure in himself. "Todd said it isn't but if that were true, you and Mother would love me without requiring me to change every day." Bruce felt his heart break as his own failure slapped him in the face. _________ Or! After Bruce says some hurtful things in anger, Damian runs away and Jason finds him and realizes the kid's twisted beliefs he's been forced to learn.
