Ezekiel Bryant is a detective recovering from a gunshot wound at Midwestern Memorial Hospital. He was injured in a recent shoot out he lost his partner in. Feelings of anger and guilt plague him causing him to lash out at all the hospital staff treating him, including Jasmine. Jasmine has dealt with difficult patients before but none have stirred something inside of her like Ezekiel did. Ezekiel tried to remain unaffected by Jasmine's beauty but her calm and gentle demeanor is chipping away at his steely resolve. As past and present problems come against the two they must fight them in order to be together.
