FREE STORY WITH PAID BONUS CONTENT FROM HARTLEY's POV! It's a summer of firsts for 15-year-old Gwen, including a life-or-death secret that could change her forever. * * * * * Fifteen-year-old Gwen Lincoln has three goals before sophomore year begins: 1.) experience her first kiss 2.) find a way to get rid of her childish "chipmunk cheeks" for good 3.) escape the separation of her parents ... a dilemma she's keeping from her free-spirited, yet slightly unstable best friend Hartley MacKenna, who she's visiting in New Orleans during summer break. With Hartley taking charge of her ambitious to-do list, Gwen's "Summer of Change" begins, but nothing prepares her for meeting Sullivan Reed, the adorable soccer player next door, who to her utter disbelief, asks her on a date. Now, all she needs is a crash course in Kissing 101 - and her BFF has a surefire-ish plan to show her the ropes! Caught between living her life and trying to run away from it, Gwen's longing to embrace the sun-kissed wetlands of Louisiana and broaden her previously limited horizons is coming true. But when she discovers the secret her friends have been hiding - a secret that could mean the difference between life and death - she must learn to face her own demons (with a little help from the lovable Creole drag queen down the street), or surrender herself to a tragic reality. Warning: Contains spoilers. Do not read unless you have read "Delta: a spy novel" before reading this, or you'll be massively confused and you'll ruin it for yourself!! Read Delta first, please. Thank you! ♥ Astrid ♥ It was over. We had messed up. Pierre was still with Cloying, and Jay was out there somewhere, looking for me. I was back at Delta Headquarters while Josh was risking his neck to find Pierre. I was helpless, grieved, and close to going insane. It was all one big nightmare - so why wasn't I waking up? I thought the world was over after the assignment in France. But when Pierre returned, I learned that he wasn't who he seemed. What was it that he and Alan Young were talking about? What were they hiding from us? And then all crap hit the fan as accusations started flying and I watched another boy walk out of my life. But just because Delta said it was over didn't mean it was. So no accusations, no threats, no unexpected twists could have stop Josh and I from attempting to follow Pierre - even all the way to the U.K - and from looking for Cloying to get some revenge of our own. Because we had no idea that what we were heading into was something so much more complex than the mysteries of Pierre. But of course I should have known better - after all, Cloying and Jay had got away. But nothing could have prepared me for the maelstrom of fear, anger, adrenaline, and utter heartbreak that followed. This is Omega, the end. It's not over. ...but it's pretty damn close.

♥ Astrid ♥ Gunshots. Karate moves. Flipping through languages so fast that my brain struggled to catch up. These had been as familiar to me in the six years I had been in training as a school bell or sound of a teacher's voice might be to anyone else. At sixteen, I had seen more death than I cared to talk about. But what could I say? That was what life as a teenage spy was. And as part of America's little-known espionage agency Delta, that was what I had become accustomed to. But I couldn't have known that things were about to change. A new assignment came up, and though I was with people I had known for years, this one would change things so that my life would never be the same. A drug dealer, working undercover in France. People from my past, popping up in the most unexpected places. And the boy with the blue eyes, who could be completely for me or utterly against me; often, I didn't know which. This was one assignment that would stay with me forever. But, of course, I didn't know that as I headed in...to pure Hell. Welcome to Delta. Now that you're here, good luck getting out.

Vinni is in trouble. Not just because she's failing maths or playing second fiddle to a perfect younger sister or pretending not to miss her absent father, but also because she's just found out she's a bona fide witch, and someone is out to kill her before her thirteenth birthday. Her mother isn't talking, but other people are: apparently, it's not a coincidence she was enrolled in her school. Everywhere she turns, another door in the magical community is opened to her; her best friends are magical creatures, disguised as awkward preteens, but unfortunately, so are her enemies. Evelyn Malfoy was very aware of how different she was, seeing as no one could ever let her forget it. Comparing her and her twin brother, Draco was like comparing night and day. Draco was the self absorbed, rude, Slytherin Prince. Evelyn was the quiet, kind, Gryffindor mystery. She kept to herself with her small amount of friends and she was happy that way. All was well, until her name came out of the Goblet of Fire. Now, Evelyn is forced out of the shadows and in a deadly competition, and her only ally hasn't even looked at her since their first year. {HIGHEST RANKING: 1st in #harrypotter; 1st in #potter; 1st in #lgbt; 1st in #twins; 52nd in #fanfiction} This is the second draft of this book! If you have already read it once, I urge you to re-read, as lots has changed. Also this is not discontinued! The story is still going I'm just sad and can't write :)

Ari Callahan has no idea how to talk to boys -- or how to talk to anyone for that matter. Enter Zac, the cute new guy in town who won't stop texting her. But is his interest real, or does he have a hidden agenda? ***** Found as a young child washed up on the beach, 17-year-old Ari Callahan has never uttered a word out loud to anyone -- not even her adoptive family. Psychologists have diagnosed her with a condition called selective mutism, but Ari can't help identifying with her namesake character, Ariel, the little mermaid in the fairytale whose voice was stolen by a sea witch. Mermaid-obsession aside, Ari's silence makes socializing tough. She's never had a boyfriend or been asked out on a date. Not until Zac, the confident new arrival in town, asks for her number. But Zac has his own reasons for texting with Ari. He's part of a movement to sabotage the artificial music app called SirenSong, threatening to render human singing obsolete. Zac's collaborators have scoured the globe in search of a singing voice perfect enough to break the SirenSong spell, and their search has led them straight to Ari's beachside town. Will her relationship with Zac help Ari find her voice and unlock the secrets of her origins? Or will he use her and leave her high and dry? Title: Ari and Zac (formerly The Mermaid Hypothesis) Content Warning: This story contains references to selective mutism, suicidal thoughts, and early childhood trauma.
