In the depths of New York City, within the world of clubs and the Mafia, Ruby works for the infamous Rafael Rodriguez. Kept under figurative lock and key at all times, she is never without a guardian, someone always watching. Her job is that of a hit man (hit woman?). She is widely known, entitled, the "Bloody Maiden." It's a good gig. Rafael picks her targets and she takes care of it, and in return...he keeps her greatest secret. But the way Rafael treats her gets old, fast. Ruby definitely doesn't like the the thought of being "owned" by anyone. Good thing that just as her patience is running thin, she meets Ruben--a mysterious man who whisks away and into the world of the Supernatural, complete with Werewolves, Vampires, and Fairy Queens. It is here that Ruby discovers her heritage and most of all, her home. But all is not friendly within the world of legend. When a death threat is put upon the King and Queen, it is up to Ruby to save everyone. With the help of a moody Werewolf, a flirtatious Succubus, and a fabtastic Wizard, Ruby must save her new home...but at what cost?
