She looked in to his eyes, seeing the warm happy feeling that hang on them. “That look” she said, smiling after a moment of examining him. “I’m happy” he said, taking his right-hand from the steering wheel and placing it on her hand. “I really am. The last couple of days have been the best days of my existence. Hearing the most amazing three words from you that just makes my heart skip a beat just makes me wonder if I’m dreaming” he kept talking, as his eyes twinkled and he felt a lift in his heart. Caroline was amazed, speechless. She was wondering if this is “Nicklaus Mikaelson” the well know ‘big bad hybrid’.

It's passed 6 years since Caroline's graduation and the last time she saw Klaus (Klaus never visited Caroline in season 5). Bonnie and her gang, including Caroline is going to bring people back, but what if Caroline gets stuck in The Other Side along with Kol and Hope Mikaelson? Are they going to come back? If yes, is Caroline finally admitting that she misses Klaus?

After being tortured Caroline turns her humanity off. However after Klaus demands the presence of the Mystic Falls gang to come to New Orleans to bring back Kol. Unbeknown to Klaus, Marcel hopes to regain the kingdom taken from him. Turning back Caroline humanity, bringing back Kol and still surviving the impending war, the Mystic Falls crew will see that their troubles back home were certainly no match for what they've stumbled upon.
