Keiji is everything I'm not. It's been that way since we were kids. He's everything I'm not, and I can't help but love him. ♡ Kazuhiko has always been jealous of his best friend. But despite the feeling of being overshadowed, he's begun to develop an infatuation that's closer to endearment than envy. Fire fighter Damion Tazzo lives life on the edge; running into burning buildings, saving lives and saving the day. He knows what it means to take risks but most of all, he knows how to be discreet. He doesn't do emotional entanglements, not when the life he has is fraught with so much danger and uncertainty, but a chance meeting with a sweet little sub at the first gay bar he's been to in years, has him throwing all caution to the wind, and taking the little guy home with him. He only wants sexual release, what he doesn't expect is the beautiful, trusting eyes, and the tenderness that washes over him when he wraps his new lover in his arms. Now he has to fight against emotions he'd rather do without, and thoughts of a life he has never wanted before. He's a man who knows how to do his job, but there are only two things he can't tame, and that's his beating heart, and the fire between the sheets.

Ethan tries to leave one life for another: probable death for a possible life. But what he leaves behind doesn't necessarily want to let him go. Shackles from the past bind his wrists while promises of a better life scare the hell out of him. How could someone possibly want him to be a part of their life and their family? What he thought was his chance for salvation, in the form of the firm roles of a BDSM relationship, proves to be a very different story altogether. Marc Matthews, a Dom at a local club, turns Ethan's life upside down without the help of a whip. While Matthews tugs at his heart, Ethan remains determined to raise the walls inside his chest to protect what is left of a hollow existence.
