"Everyone else I've met here is dull as a table lamp. Not that I blame them, of course. It's in their nature. They're just too... Human." "What am I then?" He inquired, his eyes searching hers intently. She smiled. "You're a riddle. I like riddles." The daughter of the infamous trickster God, Hel Lokidottir, spent her entire existence feeling like an outsider. Upon reaching maturity, she was appointed queen of Helheim. A strict, yet diplomatic ruler, she reigned over the underworld of the Nine Realms for centuries. Until one fateful day, when her whole life was turned upside down. On the grounds of disobedience, King Odin sentenced her to exile. Transported to Midgard by the Bifrost, she was discovered, naked and unconscious, in a massive crater, by a strange man with an even stranger name. Introducing himself as 'Spike ', he kindly provided her with a place to stay while stranded in the small town of Sunnydale, California. Little did they know that a war of epic proportions was brewing beneath their very feet; a faceless enemy with an insatiable appetite and the desire to devour them whole.

He kneaded his lips together. "You are not a warden," He croaked. At hearing his voice, raspy from underuse, I stilled but nevertheless nodded. He visibly gulped, as if the air was choking him, "But you are not human either." ********** Alice Proctor's world is dictated by two vital aspects- survival and revenge. A linguist for Earth's insurgence, and the one of the last survivors of an invading imperialist force, she has dedicated her life to ridding earth of a far superior race known as the Oriehns. When she is taken by a rogue test subject with ulterior motives in mind, Alice aids the rebel force the only way she can- accepting the alleged foreign ancestry forced upon her to gather crucial intel while aboard the Oriehn Lunar Station. But just as Alice thinks she knows what she wants, a month living amongst the welcoming culture of the Oriehns and an impending siege on the mothership has a way of twisting her opinions. ********** ********** © 2017 AaPThomps all rights reserved. War looms on the horizon... After the colonization of Mars and Europa, it took us fewer than five generations to reach beyond our solar system and discover new planets capable of supporting human life. Too far away to be governed under Earth law, the Collective was formed. Several hundred years later, the Collective has expanded to a system of six worlds. Power struggles and unequal rights have made interplanetary war all but inevitable. With rebellions arising across the Collective, three captains launch near-suicidal missions to free the oppressed fringe and reset equality across the stars. A galactic war is coming, and only an arthritic mail runner and a space pirate can stop it.

Book One of the Honor and Glory Trilogy After training for over a year to fulfill her destiny as Dragonborn and defeat Alduin, Ylva knew she would need a challenge. Joining the Companions in Whiterun seemed like the only guild she could ever call home. But she still doesn't feel quite settled. None of the Companions know she's the Dragonborn, the savior of Skyrim. And she doesn't want them to know. What would they say if they knew? Would they respect her? Or would they hate her and tell her to leave? Would they scoff at the idea that a woman barely into her adulthood had been the one to save them? Maybe not all of them, but Vilkas, one of the most respected members within the Circle, and one of the most honor-bound men she has ever met, can't seem to fathom that thought. Because of this, Ylva doesn't know if she could ever tell her new family who she truly is. NOTE: I do not own Skyrim, the Companions, or any of the dialogue from this game. This is a fanfiction and a fanfiction only; I only own my original characters and dialogue. Sequel: To Kill A Dragonborn
