(Book 1) Lanae Roberts moves out of her hometown after her mother was killed by gang members. She leaves without contacting most of her family members and friends, including Omari, a family friend that she has grown feelings for. After three years she returned, but everything has changed, including Omari. Omari Hills, aka Lucky on the streets of Harlem, is the leader of the gang that was once led by Lanae's mom. Soriya "Bundy" Reynolds is your average smart student. She makes above average grades and is one of the top students at her school. She may seem perfect, but she's very far from it. Her personality is so blunt and you wouldn't expect her to say most of the things that comes out of her mouth. She starts to find life a little boring, considering all she does is study. That all changes when she is offered a job to tutor one of the most cold-hearted students at her high school. ___________ Hussein Gregory has always been independent. He's had no choice but to be since he's the only male in his household. To provide for his mom and sister, he sells drugs for one of the biggest drug lords in his city. In school, he's not doing so great. Hussein may be at risk of failing all of his classes and not being able to graduate. That's until his mother signs him up for a tutoring session.
