Lily Morgan knew she was different, but that had nothing to do with her supernatural abilities. In a world of abnormal creatures she was an outcast. With no idea what species she is, Lily keeps her head down throughout school; juggling boring and unusual subjects and research in the library for the lost records of the supernatural. Until a rainy day when her creature unleashes - the calm before a brutal war of a storm. Wolves catch her scent. Vampires crave her blood. Witches curl their magic in fear. Fairies tremble on fractured wings. For Lily Morgan, school was the least of her worries. Typhoon is part one - completed at 110,000 - 120,000 words Tempest is part two - completed at 100,000 - 110,000 words Typhoon: Watty Awards 2019 Contender (c) Elizabeth H. Blake

I'm an archaeologist with a masters degree in Cultural Heritage who works in museums and goes to excavations. I've seen the temples, held the skulls, encountered the creeps who only want the treasure, and yes, IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM. But I'm not Indy, I'm no hero, no finder of priceless treasures; I'm just one person in a team of amazing experts who's job it is to try and uncover the truth about our past. I grew up in a world where dragon riders were revered for not only their bravery and looks, but also for their intelligence. Children would spend days on end studying just in the hopes that they would get accepted to the Rider School, and those who did get accepted left their homes like kings, followed with respect and well wishes. It had been years since a dragon rider had been accepted in the Rider School from my town, which was understandable since we boasted a population of only 100 kids in the acceptable age range. Every year we were visited by the Counselor, the man who decided who would be accepted, and every year at that time our town lit up. Festivities lasted the Counselor's whole stay, with competitions to test children's intelligence, stamina, strength, and looks set up to look like games. Every year my brothers and I would be disappointed by our results, until my 15th year, when everything changed....
