Dave Strider, the head knight of the kingdom of Earth, has been sent to go after a princess in a tower surrounded by monsters. What he doesn't know is that Karkat Vantas, the head knight of Alternia, is also after the same princess. Will they kill each other? Probably.

When Karkat's father decides to remarry, Karkat and the Striders are forced to attend. Family tends to bring out the worst in people, and this family is nothing but problems, especially for two lovebirds such as Dave and Karkat. DO NOT READ UNLESS YOUVE READ THE ORIGINAL STRI-DO'S AND DONT'S. This is a sequel to said story and it won't make sense unless you read that first. Its basically the story of their life after high school and the remarriage of Karkat's dad. Enjoy.

Wow, DaveKat! Great. This story is based on like, a superhuman AU. Dave attends a mutant school, and Karkat is a new kid. They happen to be roommates, and eventually get along quite well. Currently sort of working out the plot, so, it may be a while.

It's difficult enough for a young mutant prince to choose between the hand of the princess of the sea dwellers and the prince of humans. Add one begrudgingly attractive assassin and a handful of curveballs and you've got yourself one hell of an issue. I know there will be some misconception, but this is not a "Karkat is a highblood now" story. All of that will be explained. Just know that he is still a mutant blood and the rest will come later.
