Autumn's father died only two months ago and her mother decides that it's time to move. Leaving the only place she's ever known, along with all her memories of her precious father, Autumn is faced with a challenge she didn't think she'd have to face. She now has to live amoung people she dosen't understand: the native American tribe called the Creeks. Autumn dreads this change, even though she's tried to brush up on their history and ways, but she never expected to meet Ty. Nor did she expect the joy, the love, and the wisdom he would give her.

A nameless girl who lives on the streets finds herself being bombarded with new information about Death Scythes and Meister all coming from this guy who says he's the son of Death. Though she knows to not trust random people, she feels like she knows him in some freaky way and decides to follow his orders for her life.
