For all her life, Sayaka Akiko-chan has lived to make others happy. Being perfect so her parents would stop fighting. Always smiling so that her friends wouldn't have to worry. That's why she entered the idol and composer courses, after all. To make others smile. So when she finally gets assigned to compose for an idol group, she finally thinks she can make others happy. But when she ends up meeting Mikaze Ai, who doesn't even seem to know the meaning of being happy, Akiko is forced to question her life-long goal. Is it really important to just make others happy? Or is there more to life than just always smiling?
