The final book in my Hunger Games fan fiction trilogy. (You should probably read the first two before you take on this story.) Prim is now older, but that doesn't mean she has changed one bit. Especially now that her worst nightmares are coming true. When Prim has to head back into the arena for the third time, she is tested against herself, and is pulled away from the ones she loves the most.

We all know that Annie Cresta is the victor who went crazy inside the arena, and is the person that Finnick Odair loves the most. What is her story though? Who was she before the madness had consumed her?

My name is Katniss Everdeen. I am eighteen years old. I survived The Hunger Games twice. Peeta was hijacked. He was rescued and he's fighting to return to his old self. I led the revolution that led to the fall of President Snow. Snow. Snow is dead. Coin is dead. Boggs is dead. Finnick is dead. Prim is dead. Everyone is dead and it's my fault. It's my fault. __ Even though the Hunger Games are gone, reduced to the hauntingly horrifying memory of those who took place in it, the demons of Katniss Everdeen's past loom over her, with her wherever she goes. Though she will learn to cope with her losses with the help of Peeta Mellark, whom she holds closely to her heart. Together, the two will help each other to become new people and start their lives again, braving all of the new horrors and setbacks to come with the other by their side. ~There are much worse games to play~ I don't own The Hunger Games. What if Peeta and Katniss never teamed up? What if Katniss finds trust in the most unlikely person? When Katniss volunteers for her sister, her only thought is to make it back to Prim. But what if another tribute catches her eye? Can she survive the Hunger Games? Can she figure out her mixed feelings for Cato? From the book: "So I want to know what you think about something. " I say slowly. He looks up curiously. " What is it Katniss? " he asks looking into my eyes. I feel immediately guilty for what I am about to say, especially since he saved my life by giving me bread. "So I have been thinking this over in my head and it seems that this is the only choice I have in order to make it home to Prim." I start. "Katniss?..." He says. He doesn't like what I am saying and I haven't even gotten to the worst part yet. "I know you want to make it back home to your family and I know that you are a part of my District, but I need to make it home to Prim!" I say, tears threatening to fall, I feel awful for what I am doing. Peeta looked extremely worried by this point. "What's wrong? What happened- " I cut him off " I'm... I'm... joining...the careers."

Aloe Mellark is the daughter to Katniss and Peeta. With her 12th birthday nearing and the Hunger Games soon after the family is on edge. Though it is only her first time to the reaping Katniss and Peeta feel that the odds may be rigged and President Snow may finally have his chance to make them pay for the havock they caused all those years ago. Just as they predicted Aloe was chosen as a tribute for District 12 but so is her old brother River. This time only one will be a champion, the question is who?

9 years has passed for the Mellark family. Peeta, Katniss and their daughter Aloe are oblivious to the upcoming event and are once again thrust into the drama of the Hunger Games as the Quarter Quell brings forth two Champions. Who will be chosen and who will survive as the rules predict the unchanging one survivor making it out of the arena.
