UNEDITED Gemma Alder is used to being the unlucky one in the Alder family: from a nasty rumour about her back in high school to inexplicable mishaps, she seems to be the comical target for unfortunate situations. But if there's one thing she's good at, it's acting. After she graduated from high school, Gemma remodelled herself and decided to pursue a career in acting-but not in the way you think. Gemma Alder has managed to keep a steady business going across Vancouver Island by playing the fake girlfriend for various customers. Her job is difficult and sometimes it blurs the lines between acting and reality, but it's the only job where she can handle taking orders from the boss: herself. And when a ghost from her past appears, the very ghost that destroyed her reputation back in high school, comes to her, begging her to play the part to get an investor for his company off his back, Gemma take the job without a second thought. Because she sees this as a prime opportunity for revenge. Jake Swift is surprised with Gemma's decision but he's desperate to stop Olive Garcia, a well-known investor, from throwing herself at him. All Jake wants to do is make money and provide for his little sister, Hanna. After their parents died in a car accident, Jake has been the sole guardian of Hanna since he was seventeen and he has no interest whatsoever in a romantic relationship until his little sister has graduated from high school. Long story short, Gemma's agreement is a blessing in disguise. Until, that is, things start to go terribly wrong during his company's two-week getaway to a campground in the middle of nowhere. From unexplainable food poisoning to waxing cream in a sunscreen bottle, Jake can't seem to catch a break, which Gemma is pleased with. However, as time begins to tick away, both Jake and Gemma notice a similarity between themselves which, inevitably, leads to something more. Can the two of them forget the past? Or will their relationship go up in smoke?

A fairy godmother internship is just what Noelle needs to escape her family's pumpkin business . . . until she starts to question her own happily-ever-after. Perfect for fans of The Princess Diaries or Ella Enchanted! * * * Noelle Simpkins is sick of working for her parents. Sure, her dad runs a booming pumpkin business and her mom's the greatest shoemaker in the land. But pumps and pumpkins get OLD after a while, and she's ready to see more of the world. When she hears about a fairy godmother internship in the city, she jumps on it. The goal? Make sure royal clients get happily-ever-afters . . . all while battling goblins, curing curses, and figuring out how to use a magic wand. Not to mention shutting down a rival godmother and avoiding Kit, a distractingly cute guy who sells pie and keeps turning up. But as exciting as her new gig is, Noelle is surprised when she realizes . . . she kind of misses making shoes and growing pumpkins. Has she gotten closer to her own happily-ever-after, or farther away? And when the glass shoe's on the other foot, can she stay true to her heart? Melissa Crawford thinks she's just a regular teenage girl. She goes to school. She has friends, boy problems, homework...you know, the typical teenage angst. But she couldn't be more wrong, for Melissa Crawford is not a mortal. Her adoptive mortal mother refused to give her up and hired a witch to erase the enchanting Faery child's memory, not realizing that things aren't that simple. You see, when she was a little girl, Melissa promised herself forever to her Leannan Sidhe (mate), a Fae Prince, and a promise to Fae is sacred. When the Fae Prince comes back to claim what's his, nothing will get in his way. "Mortals are so arrogant. So utterly narcissistic to think that they are the only intelligence in this world, to believe their realm is the only realm, their way is the only way. "Many of you believe us fairies only exist in little kids' fairy tales. We are so much more than that. We exist, living in the Realm just a blink away from yours. A few wrong turns in the park or the forest and you're there. We sometimes walk among you, and you're not even aware of it. Believe me, we exist. Across the globe, your kind calls us and our realm by different names...but as William Shakespeare once said- a rose by any other name..."

*BEING EDITED VERY SLOWLY AND HEAVILY* I gasped, glancing at the boy next to me. "She cursed... is that a bad sign?" He makes a funny face and looks at me. "You should run." "Great." Rich and privileged, Jordan Rossi had it all. Maybe too much of it to the point where she didn't realize how spoiled she was. Until she got expelled and practically got kicked out of her nice and comfy home to get shipped to a whole new state to live with her cousin. Her parents sure hoped that would be enough to get her to be a bit more responsible without anyone to fall back on. It's never that easy when there are bad habits to break. Especially if she's lived with those habits for seventeen years. New rules, new people, and a whole lotta of homework, Jordan sure hopes she gets through it without murder on her mind. Peyton Montgomery is blessed -or cursed; depending on how you view it- with seven older brothers. Well, technically she is two minutes older than her twin, Sebastian. All of her brothers are extremely protective of their baby sister, to the point where she can't even look her first kiss in the eye any more! Needless to say, Peyton is struggling to find a guy to stick around long enough to date. Stupidly, she finds herself drawn to none other than her brother's best friend. This cannot end well. Especially considering that her new interest, Elijah Antonelli, is known around town as 'bad news', her brothers will simply not allow her to date the local bad boy. Things are about to get really interesting...

★ NOW PUBLISHED! ★ What do you get when you add the ultimate meet cute + a bruised head? = A whole can of heartbreak. It all starts in aisle three. Lacie O'Connor prefers to see the world in black and white, logical, rational, and natural, like her biology major. She just wants to survive her freshman year of college, but first she must find a can of peas. Instead, she gets hit on the head with a box of cake mix. Trent Montgomery is all saturated and technicolor even in the maroon employee polo. Lacie thought she left him and his sheepish smiling friend at the grocery store but finds him in her most dreaded class: Intro to Philosophy. He sits next to her, and it's all PLATOnic until he presses his foot up against hers. That's all it takes for her to get lost in the philosophy of Trent. What starts out as sidewalk conversations soon leads to study sessions that transform to cuddle sessions that transform to make-out sessions. But just before winter break, Trent steps back. He dodges her texts. He kisses her in private but blows her off in public. Lacie knows miscommunication and mixed signals spread like an invasive plant species, but what she can't figure out is which version of Trent is real. The one she met in aisle three, or the one who likes to get drunk in dorm building basements. © 2015 ℓαℓαℓαℓαwriting © 2019 ℓαℓαℓαℓαwriting |Edited/NEW| © 2022 Published version All Rights Reserved |Third Place Winner in #Readytoreadya2018 Young Adult Reads Contest|
